What if you wake up and there is already fire in your apartment...

What are you going to do first? Are you going to shout to get help or what?

I would wake up my husband and then we would go and get the kids out. Then we would run next door and wake up the neighbor and get her and her dog out. While calling the fire department. At least that's the way I would want to do things. I'm really good under pressure and so is my husband so I think it would go smoothly.

Wow! You are superhuman huh! Thinking of neighbor's safety is out of my mind when I post this discussion but my family's safety first. Anyway, I would too maybe if I see my family is safe. Thanks for the comment. I like your thought.

The very first thing is to get the fire extinguisher and try to put off the fire myself. If there is someone else at home, I will scream for them to get help. It cannot be a big fire otherwise, there would have been a commotion and I would have awaken from it. The fire department would have been informed so I need not call for help. I will just grab my important documents and get out of the apartment.

First of all I'll look for my family and will then run like a cookie ..!! Cause I don't trust on any one when it comes to me and my family. Be it NO ONE..!! (whom I can trust on) Calling for help will be the last option when their is no other way left. Because those who help themselves GOd helps them. Now im not preaching ...ok lol.!! Its My beliefe that I trust on my self first..befor any one else. One thing more ...the WILL to live ..and you will never die..!! have a nice day.

First I would wake all 3 of my children and be sure they get out safely and then I would grab my cat and run. Thanks for the discussion start. Take care and have a great day.

Wow. what a scary thought. I'd probably wake my husband, run and grab my kids, get the hell out of the house then scream my lungs out so the neighbors would wake up and call for help...well, that is what I think I will do. They say if you run a situation in your mind, and practice what you would do then that's what uou will probably will do when the need arises. SO hopefully I would have presence of mind so that no one will get hurt and everyone will be safe.

That's fine. Presence of mind could save your life and your family. Your family's safety is your number one concern as I am.

Well, my first thought would be my children. Are they ok. Next I would see if we could safely escape. Unfortunately, we only have one door out, and we live on the second floor. Could be very tragic if the fire was in the way of our escape route. There is no time to panic! I would grab my purse and my phone and my kids and then head the heck out-my children of course but they are my children-my purse so I still have my ID, and my phone to call 911. Anything else would just have to be lost.
