where is the Aprial Fool's day from ?

today is Aprial Fool's day .I was just advised by my friend this morning .before ten minutes one of my clleague told me today we'll be issueed bounty for last month abot 500 yuan .actually i believe him as today is 1 no.! next step , u can easyly image what would be happened after i have entered the finance office! today i was be jaked by my friends but i am happy ,so i would like to know more about the Aprial Fool's day.where it the day from ?

there was a king in the southern part of the africa in "mazamonga" and his son's name was April, prince April was rude many times and liked to make fun of others all the time ...suddenly when cause of making fun of people, king denies the prince his state as he cant do well , he promises to not to do it again but the state people started celebrratin on his name and on 1st April they do it...................cheers

a very interested story ! thanks ,kyran! in our China there r many stories like this .for example,where is the spring festival from ? why is it named "spring festival" ? and chongyang at 9th ,autumon every year . so many ! and all is interested !
