Ok, so I just watched a movie called Fast Food Nation, and It was about the fast food industry and how cow crap is in the meat, as they hire inexperienced immigrants to cut the meat and as they cut the intestines the throw it and some crap gets in the meat. Although it will be frozen and then cooked, it is still crap. Me and my guy watched this and now we find it hard to eat at any restaraunt, or fast food place. Have you seen this movie? Do you think you should?

We seldom eat fast food, it is very unhealthy. We are at the point where we don't buy sausage or ground meats, we make out own. I think that geting big pieces of meat is healthier then getting pre-ground or premade sausage. It is not as much work as one would think.

Yea, that is what everyone is seeming to say on a lot of the news and cooking shows, that making your own ground meat is better, we have been thinking about that too, any meat grinders you can recommend?

I've seen that movie also but it has not swayed my decision to eat fast food. All foods are truthfully made like that (unless it is koser). When eating a hot dog what do you think is in there. I don't have a problem eating the fast food. It may be crap but it still taste good so I will continue to eat it.

No I didn't see the movie and because we don't do enough as it is for pleasure I'm not so sure I want to see it LOL. We enjoy going out to eat occasionally and I really like mcDonalds big Mac burgers. I have often thought hat if we knew what really went on in some of the kitchens in restaurants we would never eat out at all. You could say the same for anything in your fridge. If you only knew how this food was made/prepared. I worked in a fruit cannery and I worked the jam belt as a direct result of that I have never been able to eat jam since, unless I am 100 percent sure it's homemade by someone very clean.

I've never seen the movie, but i have heard that. The burgers are just made of all sorts. there was a programme on once about chicken nuggets and that showed all the crap that went into them, and also them falling on the floor and the facory staff picking them up and putting them back on the machiene. I'm not a big fan of fast food places like McDonalds and i very rarley eat there unless i'm starving and it's the cloeset place and then i normally go to burger king.

I like fast food but I tend to stay away from hamburger and the like when I can. I feel there are many other health reasons to stay away from fast food when you can, such as trans fat cooking oils, food additives to make you crave more, etc.

No I haven't seen the movie and neither do I want to, I don't actually eat in fast food restaurants because I like to keep healthy and I don't like all the grease and saturated fat in the foods. I have seen some programmes and heard reports about food and it puts me off I am just grateful that I don't go to these places.

I have a few questions regarding this post. My first question is: Do you really believe everything you see in a movie? My second question would be: Have you ever noticed that bad news seems to get most, if not all, of the attention from the media types? I have not seen this so called movie. I have absolutely no desire to, either. I often wonder what the motivation is of the people that will make this kind of "Movie." Does anyone else have a comment?

I quit eating spaghetti after I woke up one morning and saw, what I thought was, white worms. To this day, it still turns my stomach to even smell it cooking. Thank you.

well, not really, I know it was a fictional movie, not a documentary or anything, I noticed my guy wouldnt eat fast food after it, so I just wondered what everyone else thought. I didnt take the words for gospel or anything I just thought of the idea for a discussion based on the fact that my guy stopped eating it after, thats all.
