How do you find time to buy something special for yourself?... Me even at my busiest i sneak in time to buy myself a special gift in order to relieve myself of stress.Or i treat myself a little time to have a whole body massage it recharged me enough to work again. How about you? Do you have time to buy something for yourself?

I shop online. I may not like taking the kids with me shopping, but since I'm home and online, I can sure shop! And the best part is, I can get just about anything I might want delivered to my door. I didn't have to wait in traffic, battle crowds, deal with obnoxious salespeople, or haul it home. Some of my favorite self-treats are candles, scented wax melts, jewelry, computer games, hairsticks (these are a new discovery - so many gorgeous ones on ebay!), and books. Everyone needs treats. Even when I was broke, I used to go buy myself a really pretty pen. Not expensive - you can get some pretty ones or really nice-writing ones for only a couple dollars. It brought a tiny ray of light into my day to use a pen I enjoyed. So TAKE the time to treat yourself. If you don't, no one else will.

I agree with you all of us especially mothers deserved to have time treating ourself to be happy and relives stress. Me sometimes when i have extra money i want to buy something, i make sure that i finished all my household chores early. As a fulltime mother, I need to manage my time to avoid conflict with my responsibilities at home and to my family.

I don't buy myself things all that often. We're usually pretty strapped for cash so I like to know that my family has the things we really need before I even consider treating myself to anything new. However, as far as quiet time, or time to myself, I must have that every now and then. I enjoy writing so I usually take some time to sit and write quietly after my son has gone to bed. Exercise, meditation and my video game are other ways I like to spend time on myself, and myself alone. :o)

When I go shopping, my rule is: If I buy something for my daughter, I buy something for myself. That way I'm not leaving myself out of the picture, heh. So at the same time I'm getting her something, I'm getting myself something. Easy as that!

yeah sure. even with a 3 year old chiild, i have never had any problem in buying something for me. Shopping is the best way to relieve your tension. It is a great mood buster. My philosophy is " If you do not pamper yourself, on one will do it either"

Every other week what I do is when all the kids are in school I take myself down to the nail salon and I get my nails done. I know it is nothing fancy but it allows me to treat myself and do something just for ME for a change.

How do I carve time for myself; mostly after the folks go to sleep; I have two teenaged daughters; and they keep up some noise; Nowadays, my thing is finding somewhere to have some quiet. I have to have it; Plus I work in a place where noise is supreme so after a while, I go to myself and keep quiet.

I treat myself to pedicure and spa treatments that can be applied at home- this way the self gift is ongoing. CVS, RIGHT AID, AND WALLMART have tons of ongoing pampering items such as books, dvd's, spa treatments, candles, music etc. Yopu should pick self pampering items on a regular while you are shopping for household items...saves a lot of time!
