What happened to Global Cooling?

We are now worried about global warning. What I want to know is what happened to the people and environmentalists that were warning us about global cooling 30 years ago. Did they all die and the loss of all their carbon dioxide somehow change the tilt of the earth's axis and cause global warming?

You know, I think you've got something there. I thought something seemed a little off center, but never thought about the loss of their carbon dioxide allowing so much hot air to appear. Makes sense to me.
