How do you like your lasagna?

I was just wondering how you like the lasagna you eat? What kind of things do you want in it? I am a very simple lasagna eater. I love lasagna, but don't always like the extra stuff that people put in it. I want the lasagna noodles, cheese (no ricotta please), hamburger, and pasta sauce. Nothing extra like cottage cheese or vegetables or anything. But my lasagna must be cheesy. Yum. My Mom makes the best lasagna in my opinion. No one can make her lasagna like her though my sister has tried several times and I have tried once before. lol So again, how do you like your lasagna?

For me, I like the ricotta cheese and lots and lots of other cheeses, too. I also love to add fresh spinach. now, I never get to have it this way since the rest of my family only likes it plain the way you described. But, that's ok. I like it that way, too. I love making lasagna! I always make a big one and then freeze the leftovers. We always have 2 good meals from one lasagna....3 meals if it's just me and the kids. Very economical and easy to do.

I am with you all the way on my lasagna being cheesy. I like the normal way of it being made as it is one one of my favorite meals. The vegetable lasagna is pretty good too but I like the regular way it is made. It is very delicious and filling. My mom makes great lasagna as well. I have not tried making it myself but maybe someday i will get the courage to try making it.

Well, I am not allowed to eat it anymore because of too many carbs...but here is how I liked it. First...must have lots and lots of cheese!!! I do not like ricotta...so a very thin layer of cottage cheese and spinach on top of that. I like mine stuffed with lots of mushrooms and I will throw in mixed veggies in the sauce. My kids love it and you really do not even realize that you are eating veggies. :) With all the substitutes they come out with...they need to come out with a substitute for potatoes and pastas! LOL

Awww...maybe when you are sixty years old and a grandma...you can have your children make you homemade things(because homemade it the best, if you can cook), and pig out on lasagna, chocolate cake, mashed potatoes! LOL Sorry, I am being mean!!! :) I love you though. I love lasagna, but not as much as you!! Seriously!

My LASAGNA HAS GOT TO HAVE ONIONS and garlic, loads of herbs, tinned corned beef and lots of white sauce/fresh cream. I also like it cheesy! Once I used tuna instead of beef and it was really good .. you should try it if you like tuna.

Me myself, I HAVE to have ricotta and cottage cheese(though haven't used the cottage in a bit)as well as other cheeses; I used to make that all the time and folks would LOVE to eat it. Even got honorable mention for it at a cooking contest in Korea. Felt real proud of that.

I love lasagna. My sister makes a killer spinach lasagna. She doesn't use ricotta, she uses cottage cheese. When I make lasagna, and it hasn't been in years, I use ricotta and plenty of mozzarella cheese, sausage and hamburg, sauce and peppers and onions.

Mmmmm....I love lasagna! I haven't had it in so long either! Yum!! :) One thing that I have to have on my lasagna is CHEESE. Who can go without cheese on their lasagna? Lots and lots of cheese! Of course the tomato sauce,(one time we used some ketchup while making lasagna at home because we did not have enough tomato sauce...no one ever knew and it tasted just the same.)I think we use cottage cheese, mushrooms, and other veggies. Lasagna is the only thing that can disguise the veggies from the little ones. They love it and eat it all up without knowing! LOL :D

I'm a lasagna freak. I won't skimp when it comes to lasagna either. I love TONS of cheese... sorry, always ricotta with it..lol... with tons of mozzarella, ricotta, parmesan & romano. I also put both italian sausage and hamburger in mine. Lots of garlic is a must. And a good rich tomato sauce but not too much because you don't want to drown it.

I like a cheesy lasagne as well. But I also like it with the cottage cheese and vegetables in it as well. I normally use sauce, noodles, cottage cheese, italian sausage mixed with a little hamburger with onion, bell pepper, and cheese. I like to use a package of casserole cheese so that I get several different kinds of cheeses.

I like mine just like you do. And cheesy, cheesy, cheesy!! I bet I would love your mom's lasagna. I had a lasagna just the other day fixed by someone else. It was chicken, with veggies and a cream sause. I remember thinking "this isn't lasagna, you just made a casserole and happened to use lasagna noodle" Lol I didn't say that out loud.

When I make lasagna, I brown my ground beef with onions then mix with pasta sauce. Then I layer the sauce mixture with cottage cheese, noodles, and loads of cheese. I usually use both cheddar and mozzarella cheeses in my lasagna. My sister in law makes hers pretty much the same way, only she substitutes sour cream instead of cottage cheese. Hers is very good too, perhaps a bit more creamy if anything.
