In your opinion what is art? Can anything be art, or are there certain specifics?

unnigec Art is a work that is beatiful and has some inner meaning in it. Anything does not qualify to be a work of art. There has to be a factor that is attractive to the creation. It also has to be imaginative.

sassybritches72 I think art is anything that is something someone created in any fashion, whether it be by drawing, painting, building etc. I think just about anything can be art in some form or fashion, just depends on how you look at it.

shubhvani art has no bounderies and no defination. it is everbody's perception/invention/newness/precularity/special feature/ of a perticular thing. anything and everthing can be art.

crystalc I knwo this might sound stupid, but oh well. I think art is the project my son will bring home one day when he is older that says "I love daddy and mommy!" and has his perfect little hand prints all over it. It may not be art to the rest of the world, but...

thoughtprocess Art is something that provokes a response. Usually it is something the artist makes, but in some instances finding something and displaying it could be considered art.
