I’m leaving in one week for the cruise! My main excitement is getting out of this cr@ppy apartment, getting cooler weather, and cruise food. Of course, it will be nice to see Maine and Canada (my body limits me on where I can go)....

Amber @shaggin Luckily, my sister and her family stayed and enjoyed it. But obviously, my dad and his wife had to take me home. They were VERY gracious about it, but of course, they didn’t want it to happen again. And I understood.

Judy Evans That's a nice photo. We used a coin counter once that was free but there was a paper-clip in amongst the coins and it jammed up their machine.

DE @shaggin When I was still at Walmart, they didn't want people bringing bags of change to a register to pay for something. We were supposed to tell them to take their change to a coin counting machine in the store and then bring the receipt the machine gave...

I called the other garage here in our town and asked for a jumpstart. The guy showed up, started the car and charged me $40. I went out driving for half an hour around town, got bored and am letting the car idle in our driveway...

DE @shaggin I honestly don't know... We've had three or four and they haven't said anything yet. I told Pretty today that they'd stop reimbursing us for jumpstarts one of these days... As soon as they do, we'll stop paying the monthly $2.68 for jumpstarts.

I'm clueless. I just make choices and hope nobody gets hurt. I looked and looked again and checked out photos. I discussed the photos and the dates with daughter. Then I went on line and booked a Phoenix hotel for three days....

Amber @shaggin It’s been awhile since I was invited on a family vacation. Long story, but a doctor insisted I come back for no good reason, and my family lost money due to having to drop everything to return. They quit inviting me after that.

DE Yup! I'm glad our car insurance company pays us back for jumpstarts. Pretty wants to start looking around for another car. We just had the motor rebuilt on this one!

Amber The cruise is 7 days, but we planned in two extra days for Boston. We’re not exploring Connecticut though; that’s just an afternoon to meet old friends for lunch.

Lenore Plassman That's not a friendly bank. The teller couldn't see that a child had amassed the coins? That used to be a fun time for everybody, finding out how much loot you'd added up.

DE @shaggin It sounds pretty silly to me. You work in a bank, count the money. Edit to add: Next time, give her bills instead of coins for whatever and deposit her coins into your checking account. Google says large banks won't count coins anymore and either...
