I wonder if I looked the wrong way to see the northern lights, or at the wrong time.
Reading Facebook there are comments and pictures from people in the area. One person said the camera picked them up better than the eye. I know we have a couple more chances in the next two days.
Their activity and visibility is being caused by a solar storm. They say the last time we had one this big was 2005. I do not remember it.
This is Saturday and there are several things I want or need to get done. I stayed in bed until 6:30 this morning.

@GardenGerty Our son said it wasn't very bright where he was in Ireland but he left the time exposure on for a few seconds and it came up quite well.

I saw them many, many years ago when we lived right on Lake Erie. It was amazing. Have a good day.
