Discernment, and the Company We Keep

Having discernment is a very prudent thing. So is keeping good company. I heard a saying a while back that "bad company corrupts good character" and it's true. If we follow after fools, we ourselves end up becoming fools. Instead,we should spend our time with people who will make us better, who have our best interests at heart.

That saying is true. I once work for a boss who practices and tolerates unethical conduct. I, who despise unethical conduct, wind up slowly doing the same thing to the point that it became so natural. It just shows how important it is to always consider the kind of people whom you are always with.

That is true if you hang around bad company you might start acting bad.

I have never been able to tolerate fools as they say so sometimes I think perhaps it is best I am totally on my own,

That is very true since I have heard the horror stories of celebrities who admit that they were associated with shady characters that nearly brought them to despair in their lifetimes.

I have run into a lot of fools in my 76 years. Most of them have been at work. Have a good day.
