Day 122 – Separation Numbers 5:1 JEHOVAH spoke to Moses, saying, 2 “Command the children of Israel to put out of the camp every leper, everyone who has a discharge, and whoever becomes defiled by a corpse. 3 You will put out both male and female; you will put them outside the camp, that they may not defile their camps amid which I dwell.” 4 The children of Israel did so and put them outside the camp; as JEHOVAH spoke to Moses, so the children of Israel did. God’s names: JEHOVAH – Self-existent, Eternal Iesous – Jesus God’s character: Lawgiver Do you ostracize someone in your thoughts when you see them. Do you judge their behavior, and consider them not worthy of your company? People want to fit in. They don’t want to be left on the sidelines judged for something they didn’t do. Yet it happens all the time. Yet when something happens to them that would cause them to shut themselves away from people, people will gather around them and do their best to comfort them and include them in their activities. JEHOVAH told Moses to put certain people outside the camp because they had become defiled or had an illness. He didn’t want the entire camp infected with the disease or defilement of the person. It was never meant to be permanent, but only until they were free from their disease or defilement, then the person could return to the camp. When Iesous began His ministry, crowds of people came to Him for healing, including lepers. Matthew 8:1 When He had come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed Him. 2 And behold, a leper came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.” 3 Then Iesous put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” Immediately his leprosy was cleansed. 4 Jesus said to him, “See that you tell no one; but go your way, show yourself to the priest, and offer the gift Moses commanded, as a testimony to them.” Sin defiles everyone and separates you from JEHOVAH. Yet, when you confess your sin, and accept what Iesous did on the cross for you, JEHOVAH no longer sees your sin and accepts you because He sees Iesous’s blood covering you and making you clean. Your defilement no longer separates you from JEHOVAH. What separates you from JEHOVAH? What keeps you from others? Have you confessed your sin but feel ostracized by those who should accept you back into their fellowship? Don’t let Satan keep you from fellowship with other believers. Your defilement no longer stains your life. Iesous’s blood cleansed you and brought you back into fellowship with JEHOVAH and other believers. JEHOVAH set a time limit on those separated from the camp. Numbers 19:11 ‘He who touches the dead body of anyone will be unclean for seven days. 12 He will purify himself with water on the third day and on the seventh day; then he will be clean. But if he does not purify himself on the third day and on the seventh day, he will not be clean. 13 Whoever touches the body of anyone who has died, and does not purify himself, defiles the tabernacle of JEHOVAH. That person will be cut off from Israel. He will be unclean, because the water of purification was not sprinkled on him; his uncleanness is still on him. 14 This is the law when a man dies in a tent: Everyone who comes into the tent and who are in the tent will be unclean seven days; 15 and every open vessel, which has no cover fastened on it, is unclean. 16 Whoever in the open field touches one who is slain by a sword or who has died, or a bone of a man, or a grave, will be unclean seven days. 17 For an unclean person they will take some of the ashes of the heifer burnt for purification from sin, and running water will be put on them in a vessel. 18 A clean person will take hyssop and dip it in the water, sprinkle it on the tent, on all the vessels, on the persons who were there, or on the one who touched a bone, the slain, the dead, or a grave. 19 The clean person will sprinkle the unclean on the third day and on the seventh day; and on the seventh day he will purify himself, wash his clothes, and bathe in water; and in the evening he will be clean. 20 But the man who is unclean and does not purify himself, will be cut off from among the assembly, because he has defiled the sanctuary of JEHOVAH. The water of purification has not been sprinkled on him; he is unclean. 21 It will be a perpetual statute for them. He who sprinkles the water of purification will wash his clothes; and he who touches the water of purification will be unclean until evening. 22 Whatever the unclean person touches will be unclean; and the person who touches it will be unclean until evening.’” When you accepted Iesous as Savior and Lord, His blood cleansed you of everything that separated you from JEHOVAH. Your uncleanness no longer covers you. You have the right to enter into fellowship with other believers. Don’t let Satan tell you your sin still covers you. JEHOVAH doesn’t see your sin; He sees the blood of Iesous that cleansed you from your sin. Let’s pray: Father, sin separated me from You until I accepted Your Son as my Savior and Lord. Help me to see myself as cleansed by His blood so I can come back into Your presence, fully restored to fellowship with You. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. One thing I have to get over is worrying about past sins. I keep thinking that even though I have asked for forgiveness, they are still there. Have a blessed week.

They're not there. God wiped your slate clean. He doesn't remember them because He forgave them. Have a blessed day.

Yes, we need to try to accept our new place in God's service here, and not worry about past sins that we have been forgiven for, and that we have been cleansed of too.
