And Now For Something Completely Different

The above picture was made by my adult children for Mother's Day. Before giving it to me they insisted it wasn't a joke. Honestly, I don't think it's a joke. I heard my daughters upstairs creating this masterpiece and nothing touches my heart more than hearing my girls laughing together. It only took them 30 years to come up with this. They also made me dinner and gave me some chocolate cookies, and chocolates. My weakness is all things chocolate. And my husband bought me flowers. What a nice day.

That's very nice of them. I remember always giving my parents cards during Mother's Day, Father's Day and Valentine's Day. It was fun, and I love seeing them smile and blush at the same time.

Before they gave me this gift they stressed vehemently that it was not a joke. Because they said that I was trying not to laugh. But it did made me smile. Sometimes they make me cry. I mean, they're 27 and 31 so when they make me cry they look at each other, fist bump and say "Nailed it." That's their goal, to make me cry.

@patgalca That's so sweet of them, and at the same time funny. I always have this goal to make my parents cry but they never do. They just look at me, roll their eyes, blush and laugh. I know that it is something that they will never get used to.

What great daughters you have, nothing else could touch a mother's heart like something homemade like this is.

It's something parents do with their babies and toddlers, so having my 27 and 31 year old do this was pretty special.

I expected to be totally forgotten. The night before my daughter asked me what I wanted for dinner that they were going to make it for me. When I mention it to my husband he says, "You're not my mother." Gee, it sure feels like it.

They were afraid I wasn't going to like it, that's why they said, "This is not a joke," before they gave it to me.
