amerei i don't know what happened to my last post, but anyway... the reasons for stying programming language concepts are probably obvious, and i's sure learning language design has it's own rewards but for me, such an activity is "purely" typical academia work...

amerei i beg to differ. i'd rather people use the right PL for the right environment. designing code or PL for that matter to meet (multiple) constraints is a rather daunting and considerable effort to do and frankly, some of the problems inherent to each environment...
