age of conscent

the age of conscent in my country is 16 yrs why should a teen be given the right to take on such a responsibility as parenthood when they are not considered responsible enough to drive a car at that age?

does not having alot of friends imply that youre selfish? many people prefer to be by themselves, to read, think,or even dream. does that indicate selfishness?

Dorrdavy i certainly don't think so, there are times when i just need to be by my self, some persons just don't have the world of friends but they happen to be very nice people.
