aplaza I'm so glad you aced the interview! Now that you have "experienced" a very positive interview you'll be able to stay a little calmer next time you need to go for an interview. As they say practice makes perfect...but I hope you don't have to practice too much...

aplaza thank you so much for sharing that with us. Actually I think it was a very logical thing to do. Maybe it's from experiences like this that, somehow, we all have the idea that stuff like cake that comes out of a microwave is going to be rubber.

aplaza Well thank you very much for that tip SLcharger. It's a good thing to know. Doesn't matter if you use a box or make it from scratch. Just make sure you only set the timer for a quarter of the "regular" time and voila instant cake. Very good tip indeed!

aplaza Flapjacks? Ooooh that does sound good. And yet of all the things I personally would expect to turn out rubbery would be just that. If you do try them please let us know about your experience!

aplaza As they say looks aint everything! And in this case certainly not the most important. I totally agree that practice makes perfect. That's true of just about everything isn't it?

aplaza Awww that's too bad that it turned out so bad. My microwave is only a few years old and hardly been used except for an occasional popping of corn or heating ravioli from a can so I think I'll be okay with that. Mind you it's a plain one. No special effects...

aplaza I'm pretty sure that you won't get the nice brown crusty like edge. If that's what you like about a cake then don't go for the microwave version. For other cake variations that do not require that then I'm fairly certain it can be done with good results. And...
