can you give me some cooking tips to make food tasteful?

i love cooking, but cooking doesn't like me.i have been trying recipes from books and internet yet it doesn't taste heavenly.i like to cook something that takes my breath away.

ariannet that's the problem i tend to overcook making it dry.i dont know how much time example for chicken.

It is already 1:30pm here in the Philippines and I am too lazy to cook, so I decided to call Chowking to have some delivery. lol And now I am still waiting. I orders Large naicha, chao fan, pork tofu and buchi. Waaaaah! Im hungry...

ariannet sometime in 2007 i think chowking was voted as the dirtiest fastfood chain in the philippines.jolibee is the cleanest.
