Or you will be smashed.. I have these irritating fruit flies that are really bugging me...I put all the fruit in the fridge but they(flies) are still zooming around..I like keeping the fruit out so i remember to eat. And if it is...

artemis u can put it in a plastic bag and tie it up air tight. for remembrance put a sticky note on u refrigerator "eat fruits"...
