BajaMa I don't think one has to be his/her spouses best friend. You have each other for life, and being set to be together that long will have it's pressures also. And being too close will not give you the "outsiders" point of view. I myself have a part best...

BajaMa As a mother myself, I do not intend to play favorites, as I know that I will affect them one way or the other. I always try to be fair. And I think that mothers or parents who play favorites just do not think hard enough on how to nurture their children....

BajaMa I have two kids of my own. My firstbon, a boy, started going to the toilet for #1 and #2 when he was already 3, and I started to train him when he was 2. My second child gave up diapers when she was just 2. I guess it all depends on the maturity of the child....
