p1kef1sh I would get him to either explain exactly what he means or seek a second opinion. It may be commonplace to him, but it's new to you and you deserve to understand what is happening. Good luck.

galileo2008 Hello! What I could advice is for you to see another doctor for a second opinion. It's kinda alarming to have that lump in you throat because it may not be that harmful, but you still feel uneasy having it.
