My kitten doesn't like pat?

When I try to pat(not sure if it's right word) my kitten, which is less than 2 months old, it starts attacking me: biting my fingers, scratching etc.. Does anyone know why it does that? And how to teach it, not to bite when...

bevpat Cats are more into being stroked than patted rather like how the mother would lick them to clean them.

What is your favorite time of the day or night and why?

bevpat I am an owl I love the night my last two jobs were night jobs. Imagine working a gas station at 3am looking up at that moon over Barbados in the Caribbean.
