no sound from cpu

when i try to adjust the sound on my computer is says there are no audio devices and there is no active mixer devices availiable

capricornian Alternatively, to fix the problem, you can uninstall and re-install the sound card driver. Open Control Panel and click the Add/Remove Program icon. Your sound card driver should be listed there. If not, then you can just try re-installing the driver
