Is it right for states to prohibit smoking?

In a lot of states right now they are completely outlawing smoking even in the streets. Is that right? Could that be considered taking away our freedom in a sense? Or is it ok because we are choking up other people? I have no idea...

dchoss Nah, I think thats invading our rights. We cannot drink or be drunk on streets, unlike European countries. To buy alcohol you must be 21.. to rent a car 25.. tobacco products 18 and a bunch of other ridiculous age limits. Outlawing smoking every were is flat...
