As someone who loves food, I often find myself eating even when I'm not hungry so I'm wondering, is there such thing as a "food addiction" and if there is what could you do about it?

dclary Hi lilybug, thank your for your input. I do think a lot of my "food cravings" come from habit. I haven't gotten myself into the habit of eating something right before I go bed...I know, pretty dumb but I just can't seem to help myself...lol.

dclary It is funny how the brain works. I had a friend of mine ask me if I eat excessively because of boredom. I had to ponder on that for a while and wonder if there would be some truth to that as well.

dclary Hi ednasgomez. My husband has a hard time going to sleep if there is a light on as well. The television doesn't bother him but he doesn't like the actual light being on.

dclary Hi trishasantos. I have to admit, I like the dark as well but only if I'm not alone...lol. I don't like it being pitch black because just like others have stated, it is the fear of the unknown, what might be hiding in the shadows...lol

dclary That makes sense. It is funny how our minds perceive things. We could stand in room with only one door and the lights on and we are fine, yet when the lights are shut out our mind automatically allows id to fear what we know is not there.

dclary Hi xdrowninghavocx. We keep our television on as well, it least it allows me to actually "see" around my room. I guess I think when it is pitch black something or someone is going to jump out of my closet....lol

dclary Hi ladym. I agree 100%! I leave my TV on all night at least it provides a little light. I'm alright if I can actually see around the room, even if it is only slightly lighted.

dclary Thank you for responding jammy. It's strange, I don't eat all day until dinner and then I tend to pick at something for the remainder of the evening. Sometimes it is just because I crave the taste of something.

dclary lol...I would love to have some "me time" but I don't see it happening any time soon. Being the only one working my business, I have more than enough work to stay busy and even if I did take a break, I would just worry about the work that needs to be done.
