drumm1n i think parents should be parents till a certain age but after that they should make their children their best friends! i think thats the way to parenting heaven!:P

byfaithonly I think there needs to be a seperation between parents and children. When a parent starts being a "friend" then there is something missing in the parenting area. Being a parent isn't a popularity contest and too often parents think that being their kids...

katan22 I think that the parents should become both a friend and a guardian at the same time. I don't think there is nothing wrong with being friends with your children since it will open up the communication between you two. It is good for the child to be open with...

ayushthedevil yes they can be until they have a certain space between them. they can be diff type of frds not the one that constitutes the usual bunch

marjonelle Yes it's good that parents and child should treat each other as good friends. But we can't take away that there should be limitations. Still have to highly respect your parents.
