I live in Australia where owning a gun is virtually banned. Why is it so important to Americans to be able to carry and own a gun?

gazza333 Thanks for the comment Force,I realise the USA needed guns 250 years ago but these days I think that is an unrealistic view.I not critising your constitution, I think it's great.I wish we had one as good. I just think the gun lobby is too powerful for any...
