Aussies2007 There is one way to save a lot of water. You tell our stupid politicians to stop bringing 1000 new immigrants into Sydney every week. They are the ones using the water. Nothing to do with the drought. The Sydney dam was build to sustain 3 million people....

johnnyz_xr6t we also recycle our washing mashine water. u can also put in rain water tanks and get rain water. u dont have to spend 1000s of dollars on good expencive tanks when u can pick up ex chemical tanks that r 1000 litres for about 100 bucks each we brought 3 for...

cloudwatcher A bucket in the shower will do the same thing, and using shower gel instead of soap will not only be better for the garden, but will also keep your shower screens free from soap scum, and therefore use less water to clean them.

judyt00 When The drought hits here, and we aren'tallowedto water the lawns and gardens regularly, I tend to take baths instead of showers and collect the water to throw on my garden, its not going to hurt the plants but will actually kill off some of the pests...
