No way can they see that many people. They show shots of one city with crowds filling an entire areana. ONE! Let's say an avergage a audition takes 2 minutes. That's 2 minutes for all 80,000 or whatever audition for it. Still...

hampy32 yes, this is true. they do filter out the contestants. my friend tried out....who is a "brilliant" singer....and he didn't make it through to Simon, Paula, and Randy. you have to go through a set of judges...and if they think you're good enough for TV, then...

As im sitting here watching the season premeire and listening to some ungodly singing i wonder why dont some of these people get unbiased opinions about their singing skills, or tape record themselves and then listen before they...

hampy32 i don't think being tone deaf or over encouraged has anything to do with. I personally think american idol seeks out people who cant sing to "audition" for rating purposes. face it, if all american idol was is people with decent to good voices trying out for...

My cat Sam has a leaky eye.... does anyone know what this might mean?

hampy32 yes, they gave me some eye drops...but it's never gone away. he's had it ever since i got him a year and a half ago. poor guy.
