Ceramic Dalmatian with a crossed 'swords mark

Does anyone have any experience with a 'crossed swords' motif on animal figurines? It looks like blue ink...We found a beautiful dalmatian dog where the only mark is as described. Appears to be 50 to 100 years old...

hamster1 Thank you for your info - I'll check the Wiki site, though our dalmatian doesn't have 'Meissen' in the mark...
