I was with my pregnant friend last week. She asked me to accompany her to watch the latest movie. As the movie was starting, my friend clicked the subtitle menu and she chose ENGLISH SUBTITLE. So I asked her why need that...

no. i dont think english subtitles are necessary for english movies. they pull your concentration away from the screen. also since my first language is not english, i would prefer no subtitles since it can improve my understanding on how pronounciations are...
