my name card - These small CD-ROMs can hold up to 52MB of information (the equivalent of 36 floppy disks). Roughly the size of a conventional business card, these discs fit into the central indentation of tray loading CD drives - the most common type of CD drive currently used in computers. Our discs will work in Macintosh and PC computers. They are an impressive alternative to business cards, and are increasingly being used as name tags at conferences, as they can also include an electronic copy of the conference proceedings. They can be used to distribute copies of PowerPoint presentations and websites, and other documentation that would normally be distributed on paper. These discs are a cost-effective alternative for conference organisers to consider. Advertisers and sponsors can also be promoted on the disc, which, because of the novelty value, is likely to be frequently used and shown to others. This novelty value is also useful when you want to ensure that material presented at a conference or professional development session is frequently referred to. Anything that you can store on your computer can be added to a CD-ROM of this type. A good starting point for content to include on these discs will be your website. It is often possible to include a copy of the static sections of a website with very little need to edit any of the pages and links. Our discs are packaged in plastic sleeves. When the disc is being used as a name tag, a pin/clip combination is placed on the back of the sleeve. For small runs, and when the disc is being used as a name tag for conferences, we print the artwork on shaped adhesive labels. For larger runs of discs (over 1000 discs), when individual's names are not required, the artwork is screenprinted directly onto the disc.
