jackryan That's great! It's nice that your GF is "expanding your horizons" when it comes to movies. Sometimes it takes another person's persuasion powers to make us see the movie we never thought of seeing, and in the end we enjoy it -- to both us and our partner's joy...

Temperature of metro manila 38C yesterday what have you experienced?

it was reported that this is the highest recored temperature for metro manila. well i for one agreed, it is so hot that i literally just lay in my bed with the ac on and still feeling hot.

jackryan yeah, this is one of those rare days when I'm actually thankful I'm at the office and not at home. Even though our home is all the way up on the 11th floor, it's still mind-numbingly hot. Even the air blowing in was hot, terrible!

jackryan I agree, it would have been a happier ending had they all returned from the island, but personally, I prefer the way it ended. Jack sacrificing himself, people dying, etc. It reflects real-life, not everybody gets a happy ending (plus everybody dies anyway)....

jackryan same here! I had to "reboot" around season 4, because I kinda stopped watching the show for a while. But when I restarted, oh man was it worth it. let me know what you think when you reach the end! (methinks it will be a while, but still :) )
