What do you think about link/referral exchanges?

As topic says, what do you thing about exchanging links and referrals? Is it good,bad? And why? I think its good as its a kind of revenue sharing concept and everyone get a profit out of it, offcourse excluding the exchanged...

josephting Everything has it's bad and good. Link exchanges is an effective way of bringing traffic to your web/blog or anything for free. Why not? And it's win-win situation for both side. You get what you want and I get what I want.
