juliet2all Thanks for the suggestions. I just learned hiragana and am about to learn katakana. Hopefully, I don't get the two mixed up. :) Although I won't learn kanji until next semester, I will probably get a head start and start learning it on my own in the summer....

juliet2all I am taking the Japanese class at a nearby community college. I'm going to start off with some Japanese movies/TV and see how that goes. Thank you for the suggestions.

juliet2all I am learning Hiragana right now and can't believe there's still Katakana and Kanji to learn later on. I think I'm hanging in there...LOL. Thanks for the advice and good luck in your course!
