Should State or Government Put Taxes on "Junk" Food?

The State or Government want to tax junk food such as chips, soda, cakes, and anything considered snack foods or foods that cause obesity. I feel that if they start there who's to say they won't be opening the door to taxing food...

jurseygurl Well I feel that no food should be taxed whether it's based on nutritional value or not. Everything should be eaten in moderation. All I ask if they do place those taxes the money should go toward teaching nutritinal values to people. Thanks

jurseygurl Yes I do agree that they tax heavily on cigs but cigs kill "junk" food doesn't. It may not be nutitional but it doesn't kill.
