How do you play PS2 games on PS3?

I have an 80GB PS3 console, but it doesn't play my old ps2 games. Is there a way to make it work?

justinhorner If it's one of the new ps3's then there is no way to make it play ps2 games becuase they are not being made with backwards compatability so they dont play ps2 games. However I have heard rumors of an update that will allow you to play ps2 games but thats...
