How do you use Ham (Amateur) Radio? What do you like about it?

If you are an amateur radio (ham radio) operator, what do you enjoy about it? What do you do with it, and why do you have a license? If you are not a ham radio operator, do you plan on becoming one? why or why not?

karguy There's nothing like parental pressure to make life more complicated that it needs to be. Often, I feel like my parents put more pressure on me than my friends! Why isn't it that schools teach about parental pressure when they emphasize peer pressure so much?...
