do you prefer to say i love you to someone? or by expressing it by actions?

when i started to talk, i'm kind a shy of saying i love you, even to my mother or in the whole family! when i try to say the word i love you i stopped, then until i never intended by saying that word anymore but i prefer to do it...

kitvan i would prefer to express it by actions.... action speaks louder than voice^^.... and im shy too.. but of course more people likes to hear it from the mouth of their love or special someone, they think that it is more sweeter and sincere!!!!!...
