Sue21 We have the taxi drivers in a big conflict also trying to block motorways and big protests at the moment they are all quiet so it seems. Also we have protestors that block roads almost into the borders of France sometimes. Hope it all quietens down.

topffer The 2005 protests in the suburbs were more violent. What is different here is the violence of the police, maybe not encouraged, but not condemned by the government. Such violence had not been used since the early 1960's by the police. Macron will be reminded...
