in the past we use 5.12 floppy inch disk with capability to storage 1.2 mb the High Density kind, then the 3.44 floppy disk with 1.4 mb and 2.8 mb( haven't see the 2.8 mb disc ), then we have CD-ROM / Compact Disc - Read Only...

leon077 oh the blue violet laser one, yup the single layer can store 25 Gbs, and the dual Layer can get 50Gbs, about 10 time dvd capacity, BD-Disc / Blu-Ray Disc. I'll add some more info about this later. thanks for your comment
