I am a indian and for us indians LOTUS is our national flower. How about your country?

leongks52 do u have any idea why they choose lotus as india national flowers? Bcos of its uniqueness? Its nature of purity? Its similarity of meaning for major religions and believes in Indian? and since when they decide? Anyone have better idea?????????
