A friend of our family who is just 19 years old has recently been diagnosed with cancer and it got me thinking. What causes it, is it lifestyle, food radiowaves or something else? What are your thoghts on it's causes?

I have a gym membership and I do alot of running but during the summer months, I switch to running outdoors and find it much more rewarding than sweating away in the gym whilst the sunshine is out. So is gym membership any good...

that's a really fair point, it's interesting that even a generation or two ago our parents and grandparents always seemed to be fitter and healther is general owing to the more physical nature of the jobs they did, or the no reliance on cars etc... I think...

I would love to run outside all year I love training in the fresh air, although I probably couldn't cope with the heat, being the heat sensitive englishman that I am. I love the name betshopboy, thanks for the contribution
