Do you wash the lids of cans before you open them?

I've always done this mainly out of habit. I use to work in a grocery store and I know how dirty things can get. I think it helps to keep any unwanted stuff out of your canned food anyway. Do you do this too, or am I the only...

lost4eva Every lid I wash before opening, I would be afraid to only imagine what germs would be on that lid.. GROSS!! Its a good habit to have.. After Im finished with the cans i always rinse them before throwing out (dont like flys or mess's) Once again another...
