How does myLot rankings work?

I would like to be able to post smileys and stuff but I am getting an error message that I need to have a ranking of 200 to do that. I thought at first that it meant for me to post 200 posts but I think it means different now. Now...

Just an Ordinary Owl? Close MyLot, clear your cache, open MyLot and try again. Your User Rating is over 200 so you should now be able to access the MyLot Code for emoticons.

I think, is it really worth to spend all the time on this website and then make 10$ a month maybe some people make more, but still that's a really little money. Maybe it would be easier to find a real job, that pays a real money,...
