Do you think that girls that drive a car should be taught how to change oil and tires. They also should be taught how to watch the water level and oil and transmision oil. They should be taught emergancy repairs. Do we teach...

mysticalwings Ossie this is so true, it really is a shared responsiblity....In our house my husband & I have divided the chores by what we know and in some of the chores we both know how, but some I don't mind to do that he does and vice versa, it's nice to have the help.

mysticalwings Father's aren't alway around to teach them...I lucked out that my mom was taught by hers and my mom was therefore able to teach me.....along with various male friends. I like working cars.

mysticalwings Yes, the average girl can change a tire, I did at 16 in my skirt (unfortunatly, I didn't have a choice), but at that time I was only 5'2 weighing a buck 10...
