Spinach

I have a big bag of spinach and i thought about giving my lizard some, i asked about and people are giving me mixed opinions, does anyone know if they are dangerous to lizards or if they are perfectly harmless

nellybean Spinach is NOT recommended as it prevents reptiles from absorbing calcium. Instead of wasting the calcium dust on the spinach, just avoid it all together and substitute with other greens such as bok-choy and romaine lettuce.

UV Lights in the heat!?

It is really hot where I live. My new lizard is kept in my room where it stays hot for him. I have a UV Light for him but I'm worried about using it since it is already so hot? Do I have to use it, or will it fry him? I don't want...

nellybean I breed snakes and bearded dragons. It depends on the type of reptile you have. Some require UV ligh, some don't. UV bulbs also come in a variety of spectrums. I'd suggest contacting your local pet store and asking. They'll be able to help. If the lizard...
