DRoddy77 Definitely to teach them to treat everyone equally and to not bully or make fun of anyone that is different. Too many parents arent teaching their kids these things!

ohioblondie24 I think that is a good lesson also and I teach my daughter the same thing. She is only 5 and she is very well mannered and friendly to every child. Unfortunately, there are alot of kids that do not get taught this and parents think their children do no wrong....

bananamanuk There is a huge gulf between spanking for punishment and beating and abuse. I was smacked as a child when I did something very bad. Did it harm me, no. Did it help teach me right from wrong? Yes. I get mad when I read in the press about banning...
