Can you literally die of a broken heart?

Sometimes it feels that way. It's like it wants to stop beating, split into two unrecognizable pieces, set itself on fire and finally crumble to ashes. Has anyone ever felt this way?

nnnnnyliram yes, i have. alex led me on so much..he told me he would never look at another girl the same way he looked at me. i told him that there were so many other girls though that that was impossible & he told me "yes, there's soo many girls. they are everywhere....
