How many years we must trained in martial arts?

I think, if you do kungfu, you need 10 years or more to be a master. How about you?

owthathurts Thats like asking, How many showers do I have to take before I don't need anymore. What is a master? Does the practitioner with 20yrs. feel he has improved from where he was at 10 yrs. before? If a strong Brown belt defeats him, is he no longer a "master"?
