pjsparkle That is how my parents raised me too. I want him to have a respect for guns and what they can do and not to be afraid.

pjsparkle Thanks for the comment. He only will be out with me or his stepfather, which is why it is a family gift. I myself started shooting when I was seven and have a great respect for guns. Remember it is people who kill not guns.

pjsparkle Thank you for your thoughts. I think the problem with our families is the fact that the alexandrite costs more than a diamond would.
