Man gets 17 months in jail for stealing a soda :/

I think that it's sad that a man just recently got 17 months jail time for stealing a soda (this man also was homeless and known to be mentally ill) while it seems like criminals with much harsher crimes are going free, or...

pkgullo Well honestly the fact is that there are so many places for a mentally ill homeless person to get free food and beverages. So although the punishment seems severe I have little sympothy for criminals, and that would count as a criminal activity...
